Sometimes all it takes is a simple question to set us on a path of discovery. Perhaps we ask ourselves, "What if I pursued my passion?" or "What would happen if I took a chance and pursued a new career path?" These questions may lead us down unexpected paths, but they can also bring us new strength, wisdom, and understanding.
In seeking answers to life's questions, it can be helpful to look to Christ and his teachings. Christ was known for asking thought-provoking questions that invited his disciples and followers to explore their faith more deeply. His teachings were often filled with parables and stories that left listeners with more questions than answers, challenging them to think critically and seek understanding.
In exploring our faith through Christ art, we can also find new avenues for growth and discovery. Art has the power to inspire and uplift us, and Christ-themed art can remind us of the love and grace that surrounds us, even in times of hardship. By exploring Christ art, we may find new questions to ask ourselves and new perspectives to consider.
Of course, pursuing questions and seeking answers is not always an easy or comfortable process. We may find ourselves facing difficult decisions or struggling to understand complex concepts. However, as we trust in God's guidance and wisdom, we can find the strength to persevere and continue on our journey of growth and discovery.
Ultimately, the pursuit of questions and the exploration of Christ's teachings can bring us new wisdom, strength, and understanding. As we seek to deepen our faith and grow in our spiritual journey, may we always remember the power of asking questions and the role of Christ art in reminding us of the love and grace that surrounds us.
Christ art can also provide a way to explore and pursue questions. Just as Jesus used questions to invite growth in those around Him, Christ art can inspire us to reflect and ponder on our own spiritual journeys. Art has the ability to communicate ideas and emotions in a unique and powerful way that words cannot always capture.
For example, a piece of Christ art may depict a scene from His life, such as the Sermon on the Mount or His crucifixion. Viewing such artwork can lead us to contemplate the messages and teachings of Jesus and inspire us to pursue questions about our own lives and spiritual paths. The artwork can serve as a visual reminder of the principles and values that Jesus taught, reminding us to strive to live our lives in accordance with those teachings.
Additionally, creating Christ art can be a way to engage in a meditative and reflective practice. Through the act of creating, we can connect with our own spirituality and explore our relationship with Jesus. Whether it be through painting, drawing, or other forms of artistic expression, Christ art can be a way to deepen our understanding and connection to the divine.
In conclusion, while seeking answers to life's questions can be important, sometimes it is the pursuit itself that drives growth and change. Christ art and the questions it inspires can provide a way to engage in this pursuit and explore our spiritual journeys. Just as Jesus used questions to invite growth and learning in His disciples, we too can use questions and art to deepen our understanding and connection to Him. So, let us embrace the questions and let the pursuit lead us closer to Christ.
As May comes around, many parents (including myself) find themselves faced with the bittersweet task of saying goodbye to their children. Whether they're heading off to college, starting a new job, or embarking on a church mission, these goodbyes can be incredibly difficult. As a first-timer in this situation, I'm no exception. All I want is for my kids to remember the good things they learned from me as kids... and perhaps forget a few of the bad ones.
However, I'm not the only one who's struggled with the idea of leaving behind a lasting impression. In fact, Jesus himself shared a similar concern; before he departed from his disciples, he promised them that he would send them a Comforter that would "bring all things to their remembrance." He knew that human memory was faulty, and that his followers needed help to recall the things that mattered most.
But this gift of the Holy Ghost was more than just a chatbook of memories and events. It was the ability to remember what was truly important, when it mattered most. It allowed for spiritual presence to be more impactful than physical presence, and it was the means by which Jesus could tell his disciples, "I am with you always, even until the end."
After Jesus left, the Apostles were transformed. They became braver, more eloquent, more reliant on God, and more full of love for each other... in short, they became more like Jesus. And I believe that this same transformation can happen in each of us, as we rely on the memory of Him, through prints of Christ in our lives.
Just as God heard the prayers of the Apostles and responded with his angels, he can comfort and protect our loved ones as well. This knowledge gives me hope, even as I say goodbye to my child and watch them venture out into the world. Christ will take care of my kids, guide them, love them, and protect them when I am not there to do it myself.
As parents, we can't control every aspect of our children's lives. But we can trust in prints of Christ and the reminders of Him to guide and protect them, as I just mentioned. And we can rest assured that our love and influence will be felt in their lives for years to come.
Prints of Christ can also be a great way to hold onto the memories of loved ones and the teachings of Jesus. These beautiful and inspiring images can provide a source of comfort and peace, especially during times of separation or hardship. As Jesus promised His disciples before leaving them, the Holy Ghost would bring all things to their remembrance. Prints of Christ can serve as a physical reminder of His love and teachings, bringing comfort and strength in moments of need.
Just as the Apostles became braver, more eloquent, and more like Jesus after His departure, we too can become more Christ-like by keeping His image close. Prints of Christ can remind us of His sacrifice, His love, and His teachings. They can serve as a beacon of hope in times of darkness and a reminder of our divine potential.
Separation from family and loved ones can be especially difficult, but prints of Christ can provide a sense of connection even when physical distance separates us. Whether it's a child leaving home for the first time or a loved one moving to a new city, prints of Christ can serve as a constant reminder of the love and guidance that surrounds us.
In moments of hardship, prints of Christ can offer solace and strength. Just as the Apostles were able to rely more on God after Jesus' departure, we too can find strength and comfort in similar ways by keeping prints of Christ and images of Him near us. They can serve as a tangible reminder that we are never truly alone and that He is with us always.
In a world that can often feel chaotic and uncertain, prints of Christ can bring a sense of peace and calm. They remind us of His teachings of love, forgiveness, and service, and encourage us to live our lives in a way that reflects those principles. Whether we're facing challenges or celebrating joyful moments, prints of Christ can provide a constant source of inspiration and guidance.
So, as we say goodbye to loved ones and face the challenges of life, let us hold onto prints of Christ and keep His presence in our midst always. They serve as a reminder of His love and teachings, and bring comfort and peace in moments of hardship. Let us keep His image close and strive to become more Christ-like in all that we do.

As we celebrate Easter and reflect on the Resurrection, let us use Jesus Christ art as a way of connecting with Jesus and with each other. Reflections of Christ photography and art of Jesus Christ is a great, meaningful way to show our love and devotion towards Jesus Christ.
As we approach Easter, we are reminded of the hope that comes from the resurrection of God's son, Jesus Christ. For some, this hope is a certainty, an unwavering belief that Christ rose from the dead and conquered death once and for all, for us. But for others, like me, the hope of the resurrection is just that – a hope. I don't and cannot KNOW anything, and that’s okay. I believe that the search for Christ is a worthwhile endeavor.
In fact, the search for Christ, the journey of seeking and questioning and exploring, is a powerful and transformative experience. It is a journey that intensifies the highs of life and helps us find meaning in the lows (and trust me, there's a lot of both). Whether we are sure of our faith or still searching, the search for Christ is one that leads us to a deeper understanding of ourselves, the world around us, and our purpose being in it.
As we celebrate Easter and the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we are reminded of the hope that comes from knowing that death is not the end. This hope is what inspires us to keep going, to keep fighting, even in the face of great adversity. It is what gives us the courage to hope for better days, to believe that someday we will rise up from our struggles and stand tall once again. To me, the best way to have a constant reminder and relationship with my Savior is to see him and to feel his spirit. The best way I know how to accomplish this is by having Jesus Christ photos around me. Whether it be a canvas, iPhone wallpaper, or a small print by my nightstand, a mere image of Christ makes me feel closer to Him.
One of the most inspiring things about Easter is the way it brings people together, regardless of their beliefs or backgrounds. It is a time when families gather to celebrate and reflect on the meaning of the holiday. And while jelly beans and Easter baskets are certainly fun, it is important to remember the true meaning of the season.
So this Easter, before diving into the candy and the festivities, take a moment to reflect on what you hope for. Perhaps you hope for a world without pain or suffering. Perhaps you hope for a brighter future for yourself or your loved ones. Or perhaps, like the young girl in the author’s story, you hope to dance someday, free from the constraints that currently hold you back.
Whatever your hope may be, remember that it is all possible because of Jesus Christ. His resurrection is the source of our greatest hopes, the foundation of our faith, and the reason we can face each day with courage and determination. The visibility of Jesus Christ photos in your home (or any space) can remind us of His great sacrifice, His resurrection, and His involvement in our daily lives.
And if you don’t know for sure yet, that’s okay. The journey of faith is one that takes time, and there is no shame in questioning or searching for answers. So let us love each other down the road of hope together, trusting that the light of Christ will guide us on our journey and lead us to a deeper understanding of ourselves, our world, and the hope that lies within us all.
An incredibly inspiring speech that I will always remember, and quite possibly the most impactful message I have heard in my life, was when a neighbor of mine who has been in a wheelchair since a little girl, hoped out loud to our congregation that she would be able to dance one day when she is resurrected. What a beautiful thing, to have the hope and strength to endure life's challenges because of the knowledge that one day, we will all be perfected in Christ.
As you reflect on the message of Easter, consider exploring the power and influence of Jesus Christ photos. These images of the Savior can be a powerful reminder of his love and sacrifice, and can help us connect more deeply with our faith. It does not have to be Easter season to reflect on the powerful and eternal sacrifice of our Savior. Whether you are looking for inspiration or simply seeking to deepen your understanding of the Easter story, Reflections of Christ Jesus Christ photos can be a valuable tool in your spiritual journey.
So this Easter, let us embrace the power of hope and the transformative journey of faith and the search of Christ. Let us celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the hope that it brings, and let us love each other down the road of hope together. For inspirational Jesus Christ photos, click here.

The story of Jesus walking on water is a testament to His divinity and power, and it has been depicted in various forms of art throughout history. Reflections of Christ is a project that has captured the beauty and power of Jesus Christ through artistic and breathtaking images. One of the images in the Reflections of Christ series that has captured the imagination and popularity among many is the image of Jesus Walking on Water. The story behind its inspiration and intellectual creation is later in this article.
The power of this image lies in the emotions it evokes among its viewers and the spiritual message it conveys. It portrays the beautiful principle of miracles. Jesus Christ can still perform miracles in our lives—that did not end with his mortal ministry. The image of Jesus walking on water reminds us that with faith, we can overcome any obstacle, or any mountain. It serves as a daily reminder that with God's help, we can achieve anything, even the impossible. Having this image in our homes and other spaces can inspire us to face life's challenges with faith and hope.
The image of Jesus walking on water can also create a sense of connection with the divine. When we look at this image, we are reminded of the power and presence of God in our lives, and his involvement in even the little things. This image has been in homes all over the country, and the symbolism of the moment captured in the image is one that evokes strong emotion in every Christian. It can serve as a source of comfort during difficult times and provide us with the assurance that we are not alone.
In addition to providing comfort and inspiration, the image of Jesus walking on water can also inspire us to progress in our spiritual journey. It can be a catalyst for personal growth, self-reflection, and ultimately change. This image can inspire us to strive for a deeper connection with God and to seek out opportunities for service and growth. It causes us to pause and wonder, "what miracles can Jesus bring into my life today?"
As an individual, I wouldn't classify myself as an art critic, however, I have formed my own perspectives on how to approach art. As I continue to explore the world of photography and have more experiences within it, I have noticed that my approach to pictures is actually similar to my approach to life. I'm uncertain which approach came first, but allow me to delve deeper into this topic and hopefully share some useful insights.
One night during the photography for Reflections of Christ, I found myself in a music studio with our team as they re-arranged the old hymn "Come Thou Font". I shared a few early images with our producer Jason, composer Clyde, and singer Freddie. All together, we reviewed images of Gethsemane, Crucifixion, Healing, Baptism, and a few other scenes.
On that particular night, I was uncertain about what I would shoot next, but I sensed that there was still an unanswered question inside of me. As the team worked and recorded, I sat in the control room on Jason's couch and listened. While they worked, I experienced a new awareness and felt deeply in touch with myself as both a person and an artist. Eventually, I ended up moving out of view to the hallway, where I leaned against the wall there and was instantly emotionally overwhelmed. It was a moment of surrender as an artist, and though it would take another decade for me to surrender as a person, it was a pivotal moment in my creative journey and a moment I will always remember.
As I sat on the couch and listened to the music, I entered a state of fast forward and slow motion simultaneously. Psychologists call this a "flow state," but I won't pretend to recall my thought process because it was a highly creative moment. It was during that moment of intense emotion and surrender, that Walking on Water was born in my mind.
All we had to do then, was shoot it. And though the shoot itself was enjoyable, the power truly laid in the breakthrough moment of surrender that took place in the music studio for me. Perhaps, at least for me with Walking on Water, the first step is actually the idea and the true journey is the cycle of faith, focus, and repentance.
When I think about Walking on Water, it all starts with a question. As soon as my foot touches the water, I ask myself, "Will it hold?" And every time I take a step forward, the question arises again. But I hope that one day the question will change, and I'll start asking myself, "Which miracle is next?"

Reflections of Christ is a series of images of Christ that capture the essence of His life and teachings. One image in particular, called "Progression," holds a special place in the hearts of many believers.
This image portrays the moments before Christ entered the Garden of Gethsemane to pray. It was the moment when He cried out, "Father, if it be Thy will, remove this cup..." It's the moment that represents the ultimate sacrifice that Jesus made for humanity. It's the moment that demands our faith.
For many believers, this image helps to put their finger on their faith. It's the moment that reminds us that only Jesus can make us right with God. We can serve, we can help heal, and we can even suffer persecution, but we can't enforce reconciliation with our Heavenly Father. Only Jesus can.
Faith in Christ means having faith that He atoned for our sins and the sins committed against us. This image portrays Jesus as the ultimate hero, sacrificing Himself for the greater good. It's a reminder that His sacrifice was not in vain, and that we can be saved through His grace.
What makes this image so powerful is that it doesn't spell out any of the above. It allows each person to bring their own interpretation and emotions to the image. Sometimes, it may evoke a feeling of nothingness, while other times it can bring on a flood of emotions. It's up to the viewer.
Images of Christ have been used throughout history to help people connect with their faith. They can be found in churches, homes, and other places of worship. They serve as a reminder of Christ's teachings and His ultimate sacrifice.

The image of Christ can remind you of the importance of virtues such as love, compassion, forgiveness, and humility. Family Traditions: Incorporating images of Christ into your home can create a sense of family tradition and heritage. By passing these images down through the generations, you can help create a sense of continuity and connection with your ancestors and the larger Christian community. This can help instill a sense of pride and reverence for your faith, as well as a desire to carry on the traditions and teachings of your ancestors.

Reflections of Christ can bring the spirit of Christ into your home, and foster a deeper relationship with Him and our Father in heaven.
]]>In the past, at a church exhibit in Dallas, I encountered a woman who was moved by a Reflections of Christ print. She spoke to me about her life as a "stripper" and her struggles to leave that lifestyle behind. As she spoke, I could tell there was much more to her story, but I didn't want to pry. As our conversation continued, she resolved on her own to never return to that lifestyle again. The mere thought of Jesus gave her the strength to make such a bold decision.
It's easy to fall into the trap of thinking that judging someone will help them to see their mistakes. However, most people are already aware of their shortcomings. Jesus offered this woman something much more powerful: space to feel safe and the absence of judgment. This experience inspired me to create more Jesus prints, with the intention of spreading love and healing to everyone who encounters them.
Instead of approaching others with the intention of correcting or judging them, what if we approached everyone with the intent to give them space to heal? Imagine if we used our power to make people feel safe, rather than labeling them. Could this lead to deeper, more meaningful relationships with our friends and family?
Jesus prints have the power to bring us closer to Christ and to help us connect with the divine. The woman at the church exhibit was moved by the image she was looking at, and her story shows us the power of art and symbolism. The image she was looking at was able to move her and give her the strength to make a change in her life. It's important to remember that we can use Jesus prints and other forms of religious art as tools for reflection and inspiration.
There are many different ways that Jesus prints can bring us closer to Christ. For some people, it might be the emotional impact of seeing a powerful image that speaks to their heart. For others, it might be the beauty and craftsmanship of a well-made piece of art. Still, for others, it might be the reminder of the teachings of Christ and the love that he has for all of us.
When we surround ourselves with Jesus prints and other forms of religious art, we create an environment that is conducive to spiritual growth and reflection. These prints can help us to meditate on the teachings of Christ and to draw closer to him. They can remind us of our faith and our commitment to living a life of service and compassion.
By having Jesus prints in our homes, we can be constantly reminded of the power of intent and withholding judgment. These images can serve as a daily reminder that everyone is fighting their own battles and that it is not our place to judge them. Instead, we can strive to be like Jesus and offer them love and support, creating a safe space where they can feel empowered to make positive changes in their lives.
Reflections of Christ prints can bring a sense of peace and comfort, reminding us of the love and grace that Jesus offers us. In times of stress or anxiety, simply looking at an image of Jesus can provide a sense of calm and reassurance. It can serve as a reminder that we are not alone in our struggles and that Jesus is always with us, guiding us and offering us comfort.
Jesus prints can serve as a conversation starter, allowing us to share our faith with others. Displaying these images in our homes can create opportunities for us to share our beliefs with family and friends who may not be familiar with Jesus or Christianity. By doing so, we can spread the love and message of Jesus, helping others to find hope and faith in their own lives.
Jesus prints can bring us closer to Christ in many ways. They serve as a reminder to withhold judgment and offer love and support, provide a sense of peace and comfort in times of stress, and can serve as a tool for sharing our faith with others. By displaying these images in our homes, we can create a daily reminder of the love and grace that Jesus offers us, helping us to live a more Christ-centered life.

]]>Have you ever seen a visible scar on a child? If so, you may have noticed their first reaction is often to touch it and ask what happened. This simple human curiosity is a reflection of our desire to understand and connect with the experiences of others.
Photos of Christ have been a powerful way for believers to connect with Jesus Christ and understand His life and teachings. One of the most striking aspects of these photos is the way they capture Jesus' scars. His wounds are a reminder of the price He paid for our redemption and salvation.
]]>Photos of Christ have been a powerful way for believers to connect with Jesus Christ and understand His life and teachings. One of the most striking aspects of these photos is the way they capture Jesus' scars. His wounds are a reminder of the price He paid for our redemption and salvation.
One day, while walking through the Reflections of Christ exhibit in Mesa, AZ, I noticed smudges on my image Resurrection. I decided to take action and clean the glass using museum glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth. However, a few days later, the smudges returned, and I began to realize their significance. All of the smudges were on the hand of Jesus in the image.
Initially, I thought it was cute that children were touching Jesus' hand in the picture. But as I watched adults, moved to tears, touching the glass, I realized the depth of their reverence and awe. The scars on His hand were a visible reminder of the sacrifice He made for us, and the importance of repentance in our lives. Needless to say, no more glass cleaner.
As Christians, we are called to admit that we each fall short and need Jesus. The word we use to describe this process is repentance. His scars serve as a powerful reminder that repentance is not only the beginning of joy, but also the key to life and growth.
The image of Resurrection is a poignant reminder of the spirit in which we should approach the act of communion with God, like a child. Children are curious, humble, and open to learning. They are not afraid to ask questions, seek understanding, or show reverence. As we grow older, we often lose that childlike faith and become more guarded, skeptical, and critical. But in the presence of Christ, we are called to let go of our defenses, doubts, and fears, and approach Him with childlike trust and wonder. The Resurrection image captures this essence of childlike faith, as it portrays the risen Christ reaching out to His disciples with open arms and hands, inviting them to come and see, touch, and believe. The scars on His hands are a testament to His love and sacrifice, and a reminder that through repentance and faith, we too can be made new and whole.
As we contemplate the Resurrection image and its message, we are also invited to reflect on the power of photos of Christ in our spiritual journey. Photos of Christ are not mere objects of art or decoration, but powerful symbols of God's presence, love, and grace. They can inspire us to seek God's face, to meditate on His Word, and to worship Him in spirit and truth. They can also comfort us in times of trial, remind us of our calling and purpose, and unite us with the global body of Christ.
Whether we view photos of Christ in a church, a museum, a book, or online, we can benefit from their spiritual impact by approaching them with reverence, openness, and humility. We can pray for God's guidance, illumination, and transformation as we look at the images, read the Scriptures, and listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. We can also share our experiences with others, encourage them to seek Christ through photos and other means, and learn from their insights and perspectives.
Photos of Christ can serve as powerful reminders of our faith and inspire us to deepen our relationship with God. Whether it's an image of the crucifixion or the resurrection, each photograph captures a different aspect of Christ's life and teachings. When we reflect on these photos, we are reminded of the depth of Christ's love for us and the sacrifice he made for our salvation. Moreover, they can be a valuable tool for evangelization, helping us to share our faith with others and invite them to join us on our spiritual journey.
Photos of Christ can be a powerful means of grace and growth in our spiritual life, as they remind us of the beauty, truth, and goodness of our Savior. The image of Resurrection by Reflections of Christ is a striking example of this, as it captures the essence of childlike faith, the power of repentance and forgiveness, and the hope of resurrection and new life. As we contemplate this image and others like it, may we be renewed in our commitment to follow Christ, to love God and neighbor, and to serve His kingdom with joy and humility.
]]>One of the highlights of that entire exhibit though was the night before the opening when we had just finished hanging the art and turning on the music... we just sat in the exhibit and were a little emotional at seeing it all come together.
I'm not sure who took this picture, but thanks.
The exhibit was unbelievable. My brother-in-law Kim Eaton volunteered to build walls with soffits and lights. He wasn't allowed to put anything "permanent" so he floated the walls on foam and held it all in place with one screw in the ceiling.
Rob Brinton, the most talented framer I've ever met, donated the framed exhibit. He nailed it. Each piece framed perfectly for what it represented.
Music and film were so important, but I'm going to blog about those later.

I'll admit it. The Reflections of Christ project tanked my photography career. It wasn't that clients stopped calling, I love my clients from Mabry Studios. They are great friends. It was more like, after the highs of creation it was tough for me to get excited about shooting things that didn't give me goosebumps.
(I need to say, there are some portraits that are more sacred to me than any of my creative work. There were families that asked to be photographed before the way-too-early death of a parent for instance... That was a different kind of creativity and spirit.)
So when I say "tanked my career", I mean that it moved the bar so high in one area that it wasn't worth trying to jump there again.
After Reflections was published I had a little time on my hands, so I went and finished my degree and my masters (full disclosure: once my masters was all finished I was filled and didn't bother applying for graduation so it's still hanging out there).
From there, I had a fantastic stint producing TV/Music/Film/Writing at theBlaze.com. Toward the end of my time at The Blaze I produced a show with an iconic man named Ken Hutcherson. He was a Minister in Seattle who used to play linebacker for the Cowboys. "Hutch" taught me a ton about love in the 6 months that I worked with him right up until he died of the terminal cancer that had vexed him for 14 years. Looking back, after Hutch, I didn't have much left to do in TV that moved me. Hutch left me his bull whip and gave me a hat from his men's group "D Group" that sits on my shelf.
Not long before I left the Blaze I was introduced to Tim Ballard. At the time he was a Homeland Security Agent working on ending child sex trafficking. I began to go on a few undercover operations with Tim to different countries. Again, my heart was stretched to new lows and highs that I didn't know existed. I still work on trafficking projects with Tim, mainly our podcast called "Slave Stealer". If you're looking for warm and fuzzy, perhaps don't turn on our show. But we try to keep it hopeful.
The bottom line is that I'm grateful that the Reflections of Christ project and collaborators let me learn that art could totally transport me to a new place and leave me different than it found me.
So from time to time I'll post as things cross my path pertaining to Reflections of Christ.
It's been 10 years since the Reflections of Christ images were published. Still I receive stories from people around the world who have somehow connected with the art.
I'm going to use this blog to tell those stories.
Mark
PS. The only thing the article got wrong is that it calls me "Springville Photographer". While I love my current home, I'm most definitely an Arizona Photographer.
